CAD File Support for Floor Plan Import

The floor plan import in portier Vision 5 supports DXF and DWG in all versions up to Autodesk AutoCAD 2024, plus SVG, HPGL2 and CGM.

Supported CAD Formats for Floor Plan Import in portier Vision 5

The following formats are supported for importing floor plans in portier Vision 5:

  • DXF: ASCII and binary, all versions

  • DWG: all versions up to Autodesk AutoCAD® 2024

  • SVG: Scalable Vector Graphics

  • HPGL2: HP Graphics Language v2

  • CGM: Computer Graphics Metafile

The import accepts one file in any of the formats listed above.

This import covers floor plans. Locking-system files (portier XML, dormakaba KWD) are imported in the portier Vision Companion, not here.

Note:

In rare cases (e.g. with damaged or non-standard files), conversion to an alternative DWG or DXF format may be necessary. Autodesk provides the free DWG TrueView for this. It saves a drawing in an older DWG version.

You can find instructions for DWG conversion here:
